A daylight balanced color negative motion picture film stock for still photography. High resolution with fine grain for maximum sharpness., this film is ideal for shooting in bright light at wide apertures and producing high resolution, low grain images. 35 mm, 36 exposure factory spooled on an acetate base.
CineStill 50D can be rated between ISO 12-100 without the need for push processing. Color, contrast, shadow detail and highlight rendering will be affected by metering. Exposing at lower ISO will produce a warmer image with greater halation in the highlights.
This emulsion is optimized for a hybrid workflow, ideal for scanning, and produces a complimentary contrast curve for optical printing on RA-4 paper when processed in C-41 chemistry.
Remjet backing free, CineStill 50D is prepped and rolled for clean and safe standard photo lab processing. May be developed in standard C-41 processing. This film may also be processed ECN-2 chemistry or with CineStill Cs2 chemistry resulting in lower contrast negatives.
